This summer I have been offered a place in the cast of the National Youth Theatre's headline production, "Tits/Teeth", which will be performed throughout August and September in the Soho theatre, in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for me, as the summer NYT shows are a fantastic showcase for agents, and the possibilities of achieving more professional, paid work (as the start of a career) on the back of these shows is high. I performed last year, and was told by the Curtis Brown talent agency that if I return to the theatre next year (2009) they would seriously consider signing me. I'm currently trying to raise any money I can in order to fund the 9 weeks that I have to spend in london, and although my job and parents are contributing, I'm still struggling to fund it entirely. I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to sponsor me, for any sum at
all? This opportunity is going to be crucial experience in terms of my
acting career, and there is also a high possibility that any of the
associate artists and writers that the company work with during the
rehearsal process, would be interested in coming to Warwick University in order to
host workshops (as I have heard of other NYT members arranging this in the
past). Absolutely any donation will be a great help to me!
